Walking together in faith

Life can be full of storms and unpredictable seasons, but scripture reminds us that God is an unyielding refuge. Through daily devotionals and reflection on the Gospel, we aim to provide daily encouragement to nurture your soul, renew your mindset, and draw your heart closer to the promises of Christ.

Whether you are seeking clarity on specific scripture topics, yearning for personal testimonies of redemption, or looking for a community to carry your burdens in prayer, you are warmly invited to walk this sacred journey with us. Let us discover the fullness of God's love together.

BROKEN

At some point in life something will break everyone.  You will make mistakes, you will be hurt or traumatized by other's mistakes, death, sickness, finances, and so many other things that will naturally devastate you.  These things will control your everyday life if you don't seek God's face to get you through. I can testify on this! Nothing will ever break the chains like Him!!  These trials in life will make you a slave to depression, sadness, anger, bitterness, a hardened heart, confusion, and a life of turmoil. Galatians 5:1 tells us, It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.  You lay it at His feet.  Give it to God and DO NOT pick it back up.  Your faith in Him has removed it and you are free from it.  This includes things you have done.  Repent of them and do not continue in that sin.  Psalm 124:7 Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; the snare is broken and we have escaped. Praise the Lord!!  There is peace, there is joy, oh so much joy, there is clarity, there is love in Jesus.  You will only find this if you believe in Him.  He died on that cross and rose 3 days later to carry our sins and the sins that have been done against us.  If you believe in Him and put your faith and trust in Him, you can have this freedom.  Being a good person won't free you, therapy won't free you completely, putting it on the back burner won't free you, alcohol and drugs won't free you, JESUS is the only way to total freedom!! Now, I can tell you this because I am LIVING PROOF! This world has thrown plenty at me to destroy me and my life, but because of Jesus I have everlasting life and freedom to not be a slave to the darkness!

ON THE HARD DAYS

These are the days when we have to remember how good God is. Not every day will be easy. There are days when the enemy will taunt you, try to get inside your head, test your patience, or just have you feeling blah.  On these days stay focused on the Lord. I don't know about you, but the hard days make me cranky.  Ask him to help you bridle your tongue, in Proverbs 21:23, we are told, One who guards his mouth and his tongue, guards his soul from troubles.  Oh how easy to say things out of frustration, but how quickly those words can turn a whole day around.  Proverbs 18:21 tells us that, Life and Death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it's fruit.  The words we say can make our day better or worse, they can also do the same to those around you.  Words can be misused in all kinds of ways, but when used properly and with a heart focused around Jesus, they can edify others. Just as food satisfies your hunger, well chosen words can be equally be a source of contentment. That's where I go back to focusing on the Lord. Some ways to do this are to Be Still, call his name.  Pray, tell him that you are having an off day and you need Him.  Read His Word.  Just tonight, I did this, I held my Bible and asked God to show me what He needed me to hear.  I was directed to Jeremiah 17:7-8. These verses reminded me that He is my strength as long as I trust in Him (this is Unshakable faith), as strong as a tree planted  by the water (these roots are strong), that has no fear of heat (these are the hard days), not anxious in a year of drought (the drought  is the bad days, weeks, months or years), not ceasing to produce fruit (fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control). I was also reminded in the previous verses 5 &6 not to place my trust in humankind, to only depend on God to give me the security and comfort that may be causing that hard day. Not even your spouse, nor your children nor your best friend in the world can give you that amount of love. They can add to it, so I am not saying not to let them love on you, but when you trust in God first for this, everything else falls in place. Instant calm to my soul. I had to to share this, as it was to good not to share how you can experience the same love that God offers me, He wants to offer to you as well.  Trust in the Lord and  love him with all your heart, soul and mind as Jesus speaks in Matthew 22:37

My Faith is Unshakable

I had come to a point in my life where I knew there was no way I was going to make it through the trials I was facing without God. It is during the most painful times in life that the Lord is near.  He is near the broken hearted. I was defeated, weary, and just plain exhausted.  I couldn't do this on my own anymore.  I was reminded of the movie "War Room" and I set out to do just what I was told by God.  I found a spot in my house and I set it up for prayer, discussion, crying, and just sitting in the presence of the Lord.  I had prayers posted all over the walls for my marriage, peace, comfort, my family, and reminders of God's love for me.  I fully surrendered every burden that I was bearing at His feet. I would sit in there for hours some days.  This went on for months before change started happening, but it did.  Prayers were being answered one moment at a time and still are today.  As I reflect back on this time I see how God molded me.  I never lost faith in Him and what He can do.  I had to BE STILL and let Him do the work.  I had to step to the side and not try to do it myself, but let Him handle it.  I just had to keep Faith that can not be shaken!  There are some moments that you don't even know what to pray, but He already knows what you need and the Holy Spirit will intercede for you when you are at a loss for words. I learned during this time my relationship with Him strengthened more than I could ever fathom. I also learned to trust His timing, it doesn't always happen over night, trust Him. I witnessed radical transformation in my husband and in my marriage.  He is still working on both of us and our marriage, but God is front and center and there is nothing that He can't do. So even when it seems like your world is caving in, it isn't. God will never leave you nor forsake you. I have seen it, I have lived it and I know it.  Lay it at His feet and have Unshakable Faith!
